    What does Just Strong (and hella shredded) mean? It means strength is for everybody. It means you wear the damn shorts, you go to the pool party, you take off the shirt. It means you go for a run with a friend not worried if you can keep up. You play tag with the kids, move your own couch, and own your own life. We train to look lean, feel strong, and live big.

  • GROW is our 2x weekly youth only class. Coached by Brian Wilbur, with 10+ years experience coaching and teaching the youngins.

    Youth Lifting is the best preparation for athletes. We build strong and springy lower bodies and armor in the upper body. Lifting, with proper instruction, is injury prevention and is confidence inducing. Whatever your youth athletes loves doing, we want to help them have more fun doing it. Run faster, jump higher, throw harder, and do it all with professional guidance to support their long term athletic development with healthy habits of body and mind.

  • We have a path for every starting point. Whether you're a total beginner or a season vet, we've got the plan for you. So schedule a new athlete consult and let's start building that plan.

  • Hell yeah! Our athletes have all sorts of goals so and we meet you where you're at. We train for a whole bunch of reasons and for some of us that's lifting for health or to improve our lifts or for some other application. All are valid here.

    If you do want to compete, we love going to comp and crushing it but that's not all we do.

  • Absolutely not. We want you here because you want to be here. Period. We'll never trap you into a contract. The only commitment we ask for is that you keep showing up for yourself. All memberships are month to month.

  • All off our training starts, and ends, with mobility. All of our programs have stretching so we can improve range of motion and decrease pain. We also have mobility series geared towards supporting your daily life like "Mobility for your Workday", 4 minute videos to feel awesome at work, pain management videos for everything from necks to knees, and so much more. We want to support you feeling amazing, and that's not just when you're moving big weight. Lift good, move good, feel good.

    Additionally, we have pop ups from Acupuncture and body workers, a Chiropractor that coaches strength, and powerFLOW: our weekly mobility class with Coach Paola.

Our Coaches

We don’t have trainers, we have coaches

Your coach, to be specific. One person, a partner in strength and fitness, to support your specific goals, pain points, and life. Your coach knows where you’re at, they know where you’re going, and how to get you there. They know where you hold stress, where you injured yourself in college and when life gets hectic, how to best support you staying healthy and strong through it. A trainer is interchangeable, a person who shows you a movement, and keeps you accountable for the time you’re in the gym together. A coach supports your journey, while teaching you what you need, rather than needing them forever. Experience the difference and a better way to train.

    Holly Noll

    Holly was a professional chef who got into nutrition, studied at Cornell, received a certification from there and through food found her way into coaching. She is passionate about changing people's lives through movement and healthy lifestyle changes. Holly is a competitive athlete who has competed in crossfit, powerlifting, and currently Olympic weightlifting. She also coaches athletes in both powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting, claiming state records and bringing athletes to international competition in the process.

    She has expansive knowledge of rehab/prehab movements to avoid injury while we train, and overcome past injuries or limitations. With vast expertise in fitness nutrition for weight-loss and strength goals, as well as help with sleep and energy levels, she will work to improve every aspect of your wellness, taking a wholistic approach, as much as you choose. Whatever your strength and fitness goals are, Holly is equipped to guide and accelerate your journey.

    Brian Wilbur

    Brian is a lifelong athlete who played football professionally in Spain and France. He came to strength coaching through the confluence of sport and teaching, a former high school football coach and math teacher he found his calling in working with athletes. Now, he works with athletes using Olympic Weightlifting to develop athleticism and teach grit, resilience, kindness, and perseverance. He’s a master’s weightlifter, retired quarterback, and former offensive line coach who coaches athletes to compete on the national stage in weightlifting, football, rugby, and more.

    Brian received his Masters in Coaching and Exercise science at Concordia University-Irvine. He is a USA Certified Weightlifting Coach, International Youth Coaches Association Speed & Agility Coach, and Titleist Performance Institute Certified Level 1 Fitness Professional.

  • Paola Female Coach. Looking for a place for strong women?

    Paola Garcia

    For the entirety of her adulthood, Paola has been countering negative stereotypes about strength to encourage young women to take up space in the gym. She is well-versed in the challenges faced by new and seasoned lifters and has experience breaking down barriers. In her own fitness journey, Paola has transformed her body and mind through the power of strength training and her own coaching. She analyzes the bigger picture, not just progressions in the gym, to boost wellbeing, performance, and confidence.

    As a UC Berkeley student and certified personal trainer, Paola is always learning from her research and network of fitness professionals to become the best coach she can be. She has advanced skills in collaboration and problem solving, so whatever your circumstances are, Paola will work with you to make your fitness goals your reality. Paola loves what she does and is excited to show you how strength can improve every aspect of your life.

You'll notice we use “athlete” often. That's you! We are using our bodies to achieve our goals here, which makes us all, who train, athletes.
